Tom has studied soil and water for the past ten years, working in diverse watershed systems ranging from a Master’s Degree project in a montane rainforest in Peru to his dissertation work on a coastal spring-fed river and estuary on Florida’s Gulf Coast. In addition, Tom has conducted watershed-scale water quality sampling campaigns in Peru and Ecuador, co-instructed a water quality monitoring workshop in Ecuador, and continues his research into methodologies for the rapid biogeochemical assessment of terrestrial and aquatic systems.
