Dr. John Healy is a Curator at the Queensland Museum in Australia and a Research Associate in the Department of Zoology at The Field Museum, and was also the local organizer of the Moreton Bay Expedition. He is one of the world’s experts on molluscan sperm characteristics and for BivAToL, he uses transmission electron microscopy to examine sperm of the targeted bivalve taxa, with particular focus on the numerous unstudied (or understudied) families.
