Scientist/Collections Staff, Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, Australia

I am a bryologist from The Netherlands, working at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, Australia. I specialize in the taxonomy of the family Dicranaceae and more generally in Australasian mosses.
Because of the biogeographic relationship and similarity between the Australasian and southern South American bryofloras, I also have a strong interest in the mosses of the Cape Horn region. In the past five years, I have made a switch from bryophyte taxonomy to biodiversity informatics.
