Meet the brash Black-headed Parrot (Pionites Melanocephala). Although a popular pet-store breed, the bird possesses a reputation for biting that keeps the team members at bay. This is the fifth installment in a series of bird videos by Dr. Jason Weckstein documenting the 2007 joint expedition between The Field Museum and Brazil’s Goeldi Museum to survey Amazonian species along the Rio Japurá and its tributaries.
