Attila Gyucha, Ph.D.
Dr. Attila Gyucha serves as curator of the Hungarian National Museum, and is also the Hungarian Director of the Körös Regional Archaeological Project. In contrast to those foreign collaborators who merely facilitate the permit process and have little or no active role on the research team, Dr. Gyucha plays a very important role in the day-to-day activities of the project and is a critical component of the research team.
With more than ten years of archaeological survey and excavation experience in Hungary and Albania, Dr. Gyucha has directed and coordinated several international prehistoric archaeological projects in Hungary. He specializes in GIS-based regional research and ceramic analysis and his publications have centered on the later prehistory of Southeast Europe.
